Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Adi.fit ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website at adi.fit, our iOS and Android apps, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Naming: Adi.fit is the Service and brand. Coach Adi (also shown as "Adi" in the product) is our AI coaching assistant feature. Adi (the person) is the human founder featured on About — not the AI. When this Policy says "Adi" in the context of chats, credits, or AI processing, it means Coach Adi.
Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you register.
- Health & Fitness Data: Body weight, measurements, workout logs, nutrition logs, and macro targets you voluntarily enter.
- Profile Preferences: Weight units, training goals, email and native-app notification settings, and Adi coach preferences (voice).
- Coach Adi Data: Messages you send to Coach Adi, images you upload for coaching (e.g. food or equipment photos), optional voice input converted to text, action confirmations, and a small "smart memory" profile of durable facts you choose to keep (such as goals or injuries). Credit balances and usage metadata are also stored.
- Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
- Communications: Messages or feedback you send us through the contact form or via Adi feedback tickets.
We also automatically collect certain technical data when you use the Service, such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and usage analytics (pages visited, features used). For Adi, we may retain token-usage metrics for cost and abuse prevention.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Personalize your experience (adaptive TDEE, progressive overload suggestions, macro goals, Adi coaching)
- Process Adi requests, propose actions (such as logging a meal or updating your program copy), and manage Adi credits
- Process transactions and send purchase-related communications (including payment receipts from Stripe)
- Manage refunds, chargebacks, and related credit adjustments when a payment is reversed
- Send you service updates, security alerts, and support messages
- Analyze usage trends to improve the Service
- Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
- Comply with legal obligations
We will never sell your personal health or fitness data to third parties.
4. Coach Adi & Third-Party Processing
When you use Adi, your message, relevant fitness context from your account (such as macros, active program, and recent activity), and any images you attach are sent to our AI provider xAI (Grok) solely to generate a coaching reply. That processing is required to provide the feature.
Adi conversations are private to your account. Other users cannot see your chats. In the product, chat records are owner-scoped so staff cannot browse other people's Adi conversations through the app. Messages are processed by xAI to generate replies, and technical operators of our hosting infrastructure may have access to stored data as needed to run the Service securely (this is separate from the in-app experience). You can clear Adi smart memory and delete your Adi chat history from Settings. Chat history is trimmed automatically over time; durable preferences Adi saves (goals, constraints, schedule notes) remain until you clear them or delete your account.
Voice input may be processed by your device or browser speech-to-text capabilities before the text is sent to Adi. We do not intend to retain raw audio longer than needed to produce the transcript.
xAI's handling of data is also governed by xAI's own privacy policy. We configure the integration to provide the Service; we do not sell your Adi conversations.
5. Sharing of Information
We may share your information only in the following situations:
- Service Providers: Third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service (e.g., Stripe for payments, hosting providers, xAI for Adi replies, Google Analytics for optional usage analytics, and Meta for optional advertising measurement when you accept cookies), subject to appropriate agreements.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government authority.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice provided to you.
- With Your Consent: For any other purpose with your explicit consent.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. Adi message history is limited and older messages may be deleted automatically. Smart memory remains until you clear it or delete your account. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via Settings → Danger Zone or by contacting us. We will honor deletion requests within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. You use the Service at your own risk and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
8. Health Data & AI Disclaimer
Adi.fit provides fitness tracking and informational tools only, including AI coaching suggestions from Adi. The Service is not a medical service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All health and fitness data you enter—and any Adi suggestions—are used solely to personalize your experience. Confirm important actions (such as logging food or changing your program) before they are applied. You should consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new diet or exercise program.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. Adi is not available to users under 16.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Clear Adi memory from Settings
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
11. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences (such as dark mode and weight units), and—if you accept—analyze usage and measure ads. Optional analytics cookies include Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel for advertising measurement and attribution. You can decline optional cookies via our cookie banner; essential cookies for login and preferences still apply. We do not send your health or fitness logs, Coach Adi chats, meal details, or body metrics to Meta or Google Analytics as event payloads. You can also control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect certain functionality of the Service.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
